Never the first time… on a patient: Video testimony from APHP
As a university hospital with an international dimension, the Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) welcomes more than 10 million patients each year in its 39 constituent hospitals. Its 100,000 professionals provide a public health service that guarantees access to the best care for all. In addition to this mission, research and teaching also characterize this institution.
INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTINE HEUZE: Never the First Time... On a Patient
In this interview, Christine HEUZE, multimedia educational engineer, testifies to the privileged place of simulation in the health field. Indeed, the National Programme for Patient Safety (PNSP) aims to strengthen the place of healthcare safety in initial and continuing education, making health simulation an essential and “priority method” for respecting the “ethical” principle of “never again on the patient”.
Well aware that there will always be a first time on the patient, the simulation object in training pursues the idea of making this first time more comfortable and secure. It thus aims to prepare learners as well as possible and in advance of this meeting, by confronting them with immersive situations, strongly contextualised in the protected framework of serious play. What could be better than realistic 3D simulation to meet these challenges?
