Discover How the University of Orléans Offers a Virtual Campus Tour to Future Students

The University of Orléans offers diverse training thanks to local and international partnerships. Since 2012, the Édifice project has collaborated with high schools, CNRS, BRGM, and INRAE to guide high school students towards scientific and social fields, while strengthening professional integration and campus experience.

Faced with the COVID-19 crisis, the University transformed its physical treasure hunt into a virtual version to allow high school students and anyone interested to discover the campus and its programs in a fun way, while ensuring access to information during confinement.

The University of Orléans chose VTS Editor to create this virtual version. An immersive scenario, with a virtual robot guide, allows students to participate in a treasure hunt on campus, thanks to 360° views for total immersion. A questionnaire was integrated to gather user feedback.

The virtual treasure hunt was successfully launched on the Édifice site, accessible on all devices. High school students gave very positive feedback, appreciating the immersive and fun aspect, especially thanks to the gamification. This first version could be extended to other sites soon.
