Social Learning
« Back to Glossary Index

Social learning can be defined as a kind of pedagogical extension of a learning action. Using asynchronous (e.g. Wiki) and synchronous (instant messaging, chat, audio and video conferencing, etc.) tools, it enables additional information to be shared, but not only. It also allows you to exchange with your peers. It should be emphasised that this mode of exchange is now an integral part of training pathways. In short, this learning method is thus centred on interactions between group members. It should be noted that social learning is considered to be more effective than other learning methods.
