SCORM
« Back to Glossary Index

SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. It can therefore be translated as Sharable Content Object Reference Model. To put it simply, it is an e-learning standard. It was created in the early 2000s. It was developed by ADL or Advanced Distributed Learning, and was developed following the AICC standard. However, it is better adapted and more scalable than this standard. Its main objective is to build a standard for the sharing and indexing of educational content used in distance learning.
