Mindmapping
« Back to Glossary Index

Mindmapping or Mind Map is also known as a mind map or concept map. It is a tool that is mainly used in pedagogy. It presents a concept, an idea and a notion in the form of a diagram that is highly visual, dynamic and non-linear. Usually the Mind Map is placed in the centre of a blank sheet of paper. It will then be linked to other concepts that are hierarchically arranged, classified and listed in a tree structure. Mindmapping is often used for collaborative use. Through the exchanges of the community of learners, it therefore enables the ideas of each individual to be enriched.
