Teaching objectives
« Back to Glossary Index

The Learning Objectives refer to what every learner is capable of achieving at the end of his or her training. They therefore deal with specific skills to be developed. In this concept, it is important to avoid falling into the trap of the verbs “understand” and “know”. These do not take into account the actual transposition when one is in a work situation. For example, the list of verbs in Bloom’s taxonomy is generally used. All in all, the learning objectives enable all learners to give meaning to their training. For the instructional designer, they help him or her to design learning activities more easily.
