Experimentation in pedagogy
« Back to Glossary Index

Experimentation in pedagogy is defined as a method of active pedagogy stemming from the scientific field. It is based on observation, experience, the formulation of hypotheses and the verification of these hypotheses in the context of the acquisition of various types of knowledge. It is good to know that this pedagogical method allows learners to “learn by doing”. In other words, learners need to practice in order to acquire new knowledge. Experimentation in pedagogy therefore calls on their creativity. It gives them the opportunity to dare, to make mistakes and to correct themselves. They therefore take their learning into their own hands.
