Digital native

A “digital native” is any individual who grew up at the same time as the development of the Internet, i.e. “in a digital environment. It is an American expression. It is therefore referred to as the “digital child”. In Quebec, it is referred to as “digital native. In the majority of cases, “digital natives” are considered to have been born in the years 1980 to 2000. They therefore grew up during the explosion of the documentary Web, also known as Web 1.0, and during the advent of Web 2.0 or Social Web. They are, of course, imbued with the digital culture: video games, computers, new technologies, social networks, etc.etc.
