Blended Learning
« Back to Glossary Index

Blended learning, or hybrid learning in French, refers to a pedagogy which mixes two learning modes. It is the combination of online and face-to-face learning. This pedagogy puts the learner at the centre of his or her own development. In this way, the learner’s level of involvement is enhanced, encouraging interaction with the trainer and colleagues.
What is interesting about this learning method is that there are no strict rules on the balance between e-learning and face-to-face learning. Depending on the situation, learning can take place mainly online with a few face-to-face sessions or vice versa.
