    In the e-learning field, the digital badge is a file that attests to new knowledge and skills in order to enhance and recognise new experiences and training. Digital badges take the form of an image that is associated with data. This data includes all the information relating to the identity of the person holding the digital badge on the date it is issued, the parameters that led to it being assigned to the person and the information on the proof of assignment. There are several types of badges. These include, among others, expert badges.
