Augmented Reality
« Back to Glossary Index

Augmented Reality or AR refers to a technical process enabling virtual elements, i.e. 3D or 2D images, to be embedded in the environment. These virtual elements can be seen with the help of special glasses. They can also be seen on a digital display. Augmented reality is one of the innovative techniques used to design engaging and fun training modules. Alongside virtual reality, it is one of the techniques known as immersive reality. It allows any learner to be projected into a modified universe. He or she can of course interact with it by using connected gloves or joysticks.
