Asynchronous time
« Back to Glossary Index

Asynchronous time can be defined as exchange time or learning time. These times are carried out with a delay. This can be done between peers or with the trainer. In order for a learner to be able to organise his or her learning time as he or she sees fit, it is strongly recommended that asynchronous communication tools be used in distance learning courses. Among these famous tools are Wiki, email, forums, etc. By using these communication tools, the learner can thus train at any time of his or her choice.
