Adaptive learning
« Back to Glossary Index

Also known as ‘adaptive learning’, adaptive learning refers to a new pedagogical approach. As such, it is revolutionising education. In this concept, learning is adjusted to the individual needs of each learner. This is possible thanks to certain technologies. One example is Big Data. Simply put, in the adaptive learning system, the characteristics of the learner’s learning environment are taken into account when setting up teaching arrangements. It should be noted that adaptive learning involves three elements. These are order, appearance and, lastly, support towards the objective.
